About the venue
Taste of Punjab Hal started as a Hindostani restaurant in Rotterdam-Zuid and grew into a banquet hall backed by the same kitchen. The tandoor that supplies the restaurant by day keeps running through the evening for the wedding, and the couple's entrance is led in by dhol drummers walking the hall.
Owner Anita Baboeram, who usually replies within two days, sets the hall up around a mandap for those who want one, seating 200 to 320 guests. Henna nights fit in the same hall, and staff speak Hindoestaans with the family alongside Dutch.
