About the venue
Shefa Bruidszaal in Zaanstad built its stage deliberately modular: the same platform converts in half a day from a raised takht throne for an Afghan couple to a mandap for a Hindostani ceremony. Both communities book here regularly, and the team knows the running order of both celebrations by heart.
The hall seats up to 260 guests, with a separate bridal suite and a quiet room for the tea ceremony or henna night, depending on the booking. Bridal hall manager Shabnam Popal speaks Dari and Dutch and usually replies within two days; the house serves no alcohol and the dance floor is built to handle both the attan and the dhol drums.
