About the venue
De Gouden Amstel departs from the Oosterdokskade and follows a fixed route through the whole canal ring during the three-course dinner — Prinsengracht, Herengracht, Keizersgracht — so guests see Amsterdam from the water while eating, rather than taking a boat tour only afterwards. As the golden hour arrives, the ship is timed to pass the Magere Brug right on cue.
The main deck and lower deck together hold 80 to 180 guests, with a fully equipped galley on board for a hot three-course menu. Owner Marloes Jansen plans the route around the ceremony or speeches for each booking and usually replies within two days. A sound system, a bar, and heated windows on the lower deck are standard.
