About the venue
Restaurant De Visserman sits right on the quay of the Scheveningen fishing harbour and buys the fish for every wedding at that same morning's auction. That means the menu is only fixed a day in advance, so guests eat literally what came in that morning rather than a standard wedding menu.
The restaurant deliberately keeps the party small, from 60 to 90 guests, with an open kitchen visible from the tables and a quayside terrace for the aperitif. Chef-owner Pieter Kramer builds the menu himself after a tasting dinner and usually replies within two days.
