About the venue
Restaurant De Oosterse Tuin is a family restaurant in Apeldoorn that also happens to run weddings, and the difference shows: the private garden room is built around the kitchen rather than the other way round. A shawarma spit and a mechoui pit for a whole roasted lamb form a live-cooked centrepiece, with a qahwa station keeping Arabic coffee flowing all evening rather than confined to one moment.
Owner and head chef Karim El Idrissi, who usually replies within two days, sums it up: the lamb goes into the mechoui pit while your guests sit with their qahwa — the food is the event. The room seats up to 70, all catering comes from the in-house kitchen, and there's no house bar or required alcohol service.
