About the venue
Kloosterhotel Sint-Walburg served as a women’s convent until 1971, and the ground-floor chapel remains virtually untouched: the stained-glass windows have survived intact, and the chapel is now used for the church or symbolic ceremony. The cloister walk around it leads to the inner garden, where dinner can move outside in summer.
The hotel suits 50 to 150 guests and has 24 rooms spread across the former cells. Manager Lotte Kramer usually replies within two days and prefers a compact day programme: ceremony in the chapel, drinks in the cloister walk, dinner in the garden. There is an in-house kitchen, an organ in the chapel that can be used during the ceremony, and free parking at the back of the grounds.
