About the venue
Zaal Nour sits in Amsterdam-West and was laid out with three Muslim wedding traditions running through the same building rather than bolted onto a generic hall afterward: a private garden behind the two halls doubles as the setting for the nikah and photos, a raised takht stage anchors the room, and a prayer room with wudu facilities sits close enough to reach without leaving the party.
The two halls have separate entrances, and the larger hall holds up to 350 guests combined — a regular booking for Afghan, Turkish and Moroccan families. There's no in-house catering by design; the kitchen is handed to whichever caterer the couple brings in. Event manager Fatima Noori usually replies within a day; popular Saturdays book out nine to twelve months ahead.
