About the venue
Molen De Volharding is a working grain windmill on the Zaan river, where the miller will set the sails turning on request during the ceremony. Attached to the miller's house is a glass orangery looking out over the dike and the water, where the reception and dinner take place. Because it sits in a small village, a 22:00 curfew applies, and the mill itself is not wheelchair accessible due to the narrow stairs.
The orangery seats 70 guests and a package starts from 6,200 euros. Bringing your own catering is allowed, and a warm-up kitchen is on hand for serving hot dishes. Miller Sjoerd Kloosterboer usually replies within three days.

Frequently asked questions
Is the mill wheelchair accessible?
The orangery is, the mill itself is not: the stairs up to the sails are too narrow and steep for a wheelchair.
