About the venue
The Waalse Kerkzaal was, until 2001, the small Walloon Reformed congregation of Arnhem, and has since, after a thorough renovation, sat on the Rijnkade with a row of tall windows overlooking the river. Owner Younes El Idrissi bought the building in 2016 and fitted out the former consistory room as a prayer room with a small wudu basin.
The hall suits 120 to 240 guests and is mostly booked for receptions following a nikah held elsewhere in the city. Younes usually replies within a day and works with a regular Moroccan caterer for those who want one, though outside catering is also allowed. The riverside terrace can be used for the welcome moment in good weather, and there is free parking a hundred metres away.
