About the venue
Slot Molenburcht stands right beside a still-turning grain windmill and was built in the early twentieth century as a storage building for a milling family, later extended into a castellated hall with battlements on the roof. In quieter moments, the mill mechanism can still be heard through the thick walls, giving the place a distinctive, faintly industrial character inside an otherwise classic castle interior.
The banqueting hall suits 90 to 260 guests, with the mill yard next door for the ceremony and a group photo with the sails in the background. Events manager Ingrid Schouten works closely with the miller and can arrange a short explanation of the mechanism for guests who arrive early. A large coat check, an in-house bar, and free parking in the yard are part of the rental.
