About the venue
Slot Marendal sits on a broad canal and is the only castle in the region with its own jetty, so the couple can arrive by water rather than over gravel. Large glass doors give the hall a direct view of the water, and at sunset the light literally slides across the dance floor.
The castle seats 70 to 180 guests, split between the main hall and a smaller conservatory for a close-family dinner. Venue manager Marijke Bosman can arrange a silent electric boat for the couple on request and usually replies within two days. A jetty with fairy lights, an outdoor bar on the water, and free parking at the rear are part of the rental.
