About the venue
The Sint-Jacobuskerk was sold in 2016, after four Enschede parishes merged, to a property developer who restored the monument as an event venue. The dome rises 20 metres above the floor, and the original organ has been restored for use during ceremonies; the former baptistery now holds a prayer room with a wudu tap.
At 300 to 550 guests, this is the group's largest venue, built for multi-day celebrations with a separate layout for the nikah on day one and a large evening party on day two. Director Omar Benali usually replies the same day and keeps a fixed crew that reconfigures the hall between days. The kitchen is halal-certified, there are two separate entrances, and the sound has no curfew.
