About the venue
Shirin Eventzaal caters almost exclusively to the Afghan community in and around Nijmegen, and the layout shows it: a raised stage with a takht throne for the couple, a large open floor for the attan, and a separate corner for the shirini-khori where families formally confirm the engagement. The kitchen cooks Afghan and allows guests to bring their own deg for special dishes when the house recipe isn’t enough.
The hall seats 210 to 400 guests and has its own prayer room with wudu facilities for anyone who wants to pray between festivities. Manager Zahra Rahimi speaks Farsi/Dari and Dutch and usually replies within two days; free on-site parking and a sound system with no evening limit come with every booking.
