About the venue
Sarban Eventzaal is the go-to spot for Afghan weddings in and around Enschede, and the layout reflects it: instead of rows of tables running to the wall, the hall keeps a large, clear central floor open so the attan can be danced by a wide circle of dancers at once. Tables line the edges, with loose furniture that can be cleared quickly after dinner.
The hall seats 230 to 450 guests and has its own kitchen that allows deg cooking for guests who bring their own recipe. Manager Rashid Sarwari speaks Farsi/Dari, Pashto and Dutch and usually replies within three days. There is a prayer room with wudu facilities and the hall is fully alcohol-free.
