About the venue
Salon-e Omid, meaning "hall of hope," was opened by sisters Roya and Freshta Etemadi after years of renting other people's halls for family celebrations, when they decided to start their own. The room above their own bakery is a single rectangular hall with tall street-facing windows, kept simple so guests can dress it themselves with flowers and fabric.
Roya handles most bookings and usually replies within a day; the bakery downstairs can supply the pastries for the engagement on request. There is room for 20 to 50 guests, the hall is fully alcohol-free, and a small room next to the main hall serves as a resting spot for the bride.
