About the venue
The building on Orthenseweg served as a public library for forty years before three mosque boards jointly bought and converted it into a cultural centre; the old reading room is now the main hall, its distinctive tall windows still intact. By day the space is used for Arabic classes for children, on weekends for weddings and engagement parties.
The hall suits 90 to 180 guests in one room with a raised stage section. Coordinator Latifa Zeroual keeps the weekends tightly scheduled and usually replies within two days; she can arrange an all-female service team and a screened-off room for the bride before the ceremony on request. Free parking on the adjoining school grounds, an in-house kitchen for external caterers and a fully alcohol-free policy are among the fixed arrangements.
