About the venue
Saffraan Eventzaal in Amersfoort was set up for exactly the situation that comes up more and more: a Moroccan family and a Dutch family celebrating a wedding together. The interior runs largely in saffron tones, and the hall offers both a fully halal catering option and a licensed bar, so neither side of the family has to give anything up.
The hall seats up to 250 guests, with its own kitchen, a bridal suite, and room for a henna night next to the main hall. Venue manager Sanae de Wit speaks Arabic, Dutch, and French and usually replies within three days; on request an alcohol-free bar is set up alongside the regular one.
