About the venue
De Eemvaarder is permanently moored at the Kleine Koppel, where the Eem meets Amersfoort's old town, and keeps the tower of the Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk as a fixed backdrop through the saloon windows. The boat doesn't sail out, but the mooring spot is the whole point: guests walk straight from the historic lanes onto the gangway.
The saloon and outdoor deck together hold 55 to 120 guests, with its own galley for a hot buffet or a seated dinner. Skipper and owner Peter van Loon has worked the Eem for twenty years, usually replies within two days, and can arrange a short half-hour cruise before the party for the couple and witnesses on request. Heating, a bar, and a sound system are all standard on board.
