About the venue
Paleis Shahenshah is built around the open dance floor an Afghan wedding needs: no pillars, no obstacles, room enough for the entire attan circle to move. The amariya entrance, where the couple enters under an ornate carried structure, crosses a raised stage with its own lighting timed exactly to that moment.
The hall is one of the largest in this list, holding 200 to 400 guests, has its own kitchen suited to deg cooking, and a prayer room with washing facilities for guests who want to use it. Event manager Fereshta Rahimi speaks Farsi-Dari and usually replies within two days; the hall is fully alcohol-free as fixed policy.
