About the venue
Paleis Badakhshan is named after the mountainous province in northeastern Afghanistan famous for its lapis lazuli, and that deep blue stone reappears in the hall's tiling and ceiling. The interior is built around a raised takht stage for the couple, with enough floor space for a full attan circle later in the evening.
Owner Wahid Rahimi, who usually replies within two days, cooks with an in-house kitchen suited to deg dishes for large parties and keeps the hall fully alcohol-free. The venue seats 220 to 340 guests, split between the main hall and a separate bridal suite, with Farsi/Dari as a standing staff language alongside Dutch.
