About the venue
Masjid Salaam Zaal is the function hall next to the mosque in Groningen and one of the few places in the entire north of the country where an Islamic wedding can run from nikah to reception at a single location. The hall sits directly against the prayer room and the wudu facilities are right alongside it, so guests do not need to move to another building before prayer.
Manager Ismail Boujadi knows most of the visiting families from the region personally and usually replies within three days. The hall seats 130 to 180 guests, runs separate entrances, and has its own kitchen for halal catering, and is fully alcohol-free as a fixed rule.
