About the venue
Masjid Al Hidayah Zaal is the separate reception hall next to the mosque in Rotterdam-Zuid, built for the nikah itself and a modest reception afterwards rather than an evening party with music. The hall is physically separate from the prayer space but shares its wudu facilities, and a curtain system can divide the room into a men's and women's side on request.
Seating 180 up to 260, the hall is aimed at families who want the religious ceremony to come first, with tea, dates and a light lunch or dinner rather than a full catering menu. Caretaker Yusuf Chatib, who usually replies within two days, can arrange an all-female serving team on request and helps families planning their first nikah through the whole process.
