About the venue
Landgoed Cantecleer is the largest of the estates around Haarlem still in private hands, with a parterre garden laid out in the eighteenth century after the French baroque model and maintained in the same geometric shape to this day. The library, with floor-to-ceiling oak cabinets, is often used for signing the marriage certificate before the party moves out to the garden.
Manager Thijs Mulder has been overseeing weddings here for nearly twenty years and usually replies within two days. The great ballroom and the orangery together seat 180 to 380 guests, with an in-house kitchen, a bar that is not mandatory, live music permitted, a covered terrace as backup in case of rain, and free parking on the forecourt.
