About the venue
Lakshmi Feestpaleis took over an abandoned exhibition hall in 2019 and deliberately kept its 14-metre steel structure, so no pillar ever breaks the sightline to the couple. Events director Devika Sardjoe had two stages built, a pelaminan stage and a separate mandap stage, so both traditions within the same family get their own place without either one giving ground to the other.
The hall is built for 260 to 500 guests and is rented out exclusively per booking, never shared with another party on the same day. Devika usually replies within a day, speaks Hindoestani, Dutch and English, and her team arranges both a dhol procession at arrival and a DJ later in the evening. The kitchen is fully set up for deg cooking, alcohol is allowed at the bar, and the grounds have room for multi-day festivities.
