About the venue
Korvel Moskeezaal sits inside a former textile workshop, a reminder of the era when Tilburg ran on the wool industry; the community bought the building twenty years ago and converted the ground floor into a mosque and the first floor into a compact wedding hall with its own staircase and lift. The rough brick walls were deliberately left as they were, with only lighting and tables added.
The hall suits 80 to 150 guests and runs a warming kitchen for outside caterers, with a regular halal caterer available on request. Manager Femke de Groot has known the building inside and out since the renovation and usually replies within two days; she can arrange a separate foyer for the reception line on request. Free parking on the street and a lift up to the first floor are both available.
