About the venue
Kilim Saray Hal is a mid-size banquet hall in Tilburg that has stayed in the same family for two generations; the name comes from the kilim rugs lining the whole entrance, hand-picked by owner Mehmet Doğan himself. A fixed Turkish coffee station greets guests at the door before the hall opens.
The hall seats up to 220 guests, with its own kitchen, a bridal suite, and the lit walkway for the gelin yolu entrance. Mehmet usually replies within two days and personally helps run the evening, from the henna night to the last halay; the bar is open and drinks are no issue, as long as the hall wraps up neatly by midnight.
