About the venue
Kerkzaal Immanuel is the church hall of a Protestant congregation in Almere, built in the nineties when the city itself was still growing fast, and that shows in the layout: instead of fixed pews there are stackable chairs reset for every ceremony, from a straight row to a half circle around the couple.
Coordinator Hendrik de Boer arranges both the church service and the reception afterward in the adjoining hall, so guests do not need to travel to a second location after the ceremony. There is room for 110 to 200 guests, the hall has its own sound system for live music, and Hendrik usually replies within two days.
