About the venue
Kasteel Drakenstein is a nineteenth-century castle with four turrets near Amersfoort, let out fully exclusively per wedding: no second party on the grounds, no shared spaces with other guests. That exclusivity is deliberately paired with a small guest list, the ballroom and adjoining tower room are designed for intimacy, not a crowd.
The venue seats 90 guests in the ballroom, with a walled garden for the ceremony and the toast afterwards. Venue manager Charlotte van Ostade, who usually replies within three days, can arrange overnight stays in one of the tower rooms for the couple on request. An in-house bar, live music and an outside stylist are all allowed within the walls.
