About the venue
Hotel Villa Augusta is a nineteenth-century villa on the edge of Utrecht, fully restored in 2018 while keeping the original wood panelling in the dining hall and the symmetrical formal garden in front of it. The garden is laid out with a central path leading straight to the front steps, well suited to an outdoor ceremony held before or after a church service elsewhere in the city.
Inside, the panelled hall seats up to 180 guests under a high ceiling with the original cornices, and the kitchen works from a fixed menu of three or four courses. Wedding coordinator Sophie de Ruiter usually replies within three days and can also arrange overnight stays for the couple in the upstairs bridal suite.
