About the venue
Hotel Residentie Oranje sits in Den Haag's diplomatic quarter, in a nineteenth-century townhouse since extended into a hotel. The ballroom is dressed in royal-blue drapery and crystal chandeliers, a style the house shares with the embassies on the surrounding streets, and seats 140 to 260 guests.
Event manager Sophie van der Linden, who usually replies within one day, arranges both the civil ceremony and the dinner in house and offers rooms for guests travelling from further afield. The hotel's staff is used to working across languages, with English, Dutch and French as standing house languages, and every hall has air conditioning.
