About the venue
Hotel Lale Konagi, which means ‘tulip mansion’, opened in 2018 with an Ottoman-style ballroom: a domed ceiling, hand-painted tiles along the walls, and chandeliers brought over specially from Istanbul. The garden next to it is planted with tulip beds, a nod to the flower that once travelled from the Ottoman Empire to the Netherlands.
The ballroom suits 200 to 400 guests and can be divided so a private nikah ceremony can be held separately from the reception. Manager Hasan Demir usually replies within a day and arranges a fully halal menu, from the mezze to the baklava dessert. The hotel has 90 rooms, a balcony overlooking the tulip beds, and free parking for all guests.
