About the venue
Het Graanpakhuis served as grain-trade storage on the Winschoterdiep until 1988, and the traces of that are visible everywhere: the hoist beam still hangs above the loading doors, and the ground-floor hall has kept its original concrete columns. The silo tower at the back has been converted into a forty-room hotel tower, each room with a round window nodding to the old hatches.
The hall suits 150 to 320 guests and has its own commercial kitchen built for large parties. Event manager Joost van der Veen usually replies within two days and prefers a timeline where the ceremony takes place right on the quay, overlooking the water. There is no sound limit after ten o’clock, an in-house bar, and free parking in the back yard.
