About the venue
Hotel Herepoort is made up of two adjoining 1880s townhouses on the Hereplein, with the courtyard between them roofed over in glass since 2016. That courtyard, with the original brick facades still visible on either side, is the hotel’s permanent wedding hall, rain or shine. The nine hotel rooms above are there for guests travelling from further afield.
The hall suits 40 to 90 guests and works with a fixed kitchen that handles dinner. Hotel manager Femke Dijkstra usually replies within a day and can arrange a small ceremony right on the courtyard, followed by dinner in the same space once the tables are turned around. Free wifi, an in-house bar and overnight rooms come with every booking.
