About the venue
Hotel De Gouden Leeuw stands right on the Grote Markt in the heart of Groningen, in a nineteenth-century building with a rooftop terrace that has been used for the post-ceremony drinks reception since the last renovation. Guests step from the terrace, with its view over the rooftops of the city centre, straight through to the ballroom on the first floor.
The ballroom seats 100 to 180 guests and works with a fixed kitchen brigade for dinner. Event manager Willem Bakker usually replies within two days and can arrange hotel rooms above the hall for guests who would rather not drive home.
