About the venue
Hoeve Riad Al Fal started as an ordinary polder farm, until owner Omar Bousfiha had the hay barn rebuilt into an enclosed courtyard with arcades on all four sides, inspired by the riads he visited as a child in Fez. A falcon-shaped weathervane on the roof gave the farm its name. The courtyard catches the light of the setting sun right as dinner begins.
The venue holds 100 to 200 guests, with the arcades serving as covered walkways when the wind picks up off the IJsselmeer. Rental manager Omar Bousfiha usually replies within two days, works with three fixed halal caterers, and arranges a separate entrance for the bridal car at the back of the yard. Free parking and a sound system with no curfew are included.
