About the venue
The Grote Moskeezaal Tilburg was built fifteen years ago when the community realised the smaller halls in the city could no longer handle its largest families; the result is a complex of four halls that combine via sliding walls into one space for 550 guests, with a prayer wing kept separate from the party section. Weddings with guests spanning several countries and generations are the rule here, not the exception.
The hall suits 300 to 550 guests and has two separate entrances for those who want them for cultural reasons. Director Joris van Dam runs a team of twelve, including dedicated security for the larger parties, and usually replies within two days. An in-house commercial kitchen, a sound system with no curfew, and free parking for hundreds of cars on the grounds are all part of the standard set-up.
