About the venue
Erf Sidi Yahya is a five-hectare vegetable smallholding where owner Latifa Chraibi started renting out the meadow for small weddings ten years ago, after struggling herself to find an affordable, informal spot for her own wedding. There is no fixed hall: a fabric tent goes up between the kitchen garden and the ditch, and guests walk past rows of tomatoes and mint on their way to the table.
The grounds suit 60 to 130 guests and run on a mobile outdoor kitchen where tagines and couscous are cooked over wood fire on request, fully halal. Latifa usually replies within a day, handles the tent setup herself, and lets guests start decorating early in the day. In case of rain, an adjoining greenhouse serves as a fallback.
