About the venue
Erf Bamiyan combines a vegetable smallholding with a small poultry shed, and the barn between them was rebuilt eight years ago with a sprung wooden dance floor, laid specifically for the attan dance performed at nearly every Afghan wedding held here. The name refers to the valley many guests trace their family roots to, and a relief of the valley decorates the barn's entrance.
Hall manager Zabihullah Amiri, who usually replies within three days, holds 130 to 260 guests and arranges both deg cooking and a separate qahwa lounge for the welcome. The kitchen garden next to the barn is used for the pre-dinner reception in good weather. Free parking, a prayer room with wudu facilities, and a DJ setup with no curfew are included as standard.
