About the venue
De Veenhoeve is a working peatland farm just north of Groningen, built around the wide horizon of the peat meadow landscape rather than tucked away from it. The barn and the yard around it hold 75 to 130 guests, with the open field as the natural backdrop for the ceremony and the outdoor photos.
Owner Sietske Bergsma, who usually replies within three days, keeps the farm deliberately bare: your caterer cooks on the outdoor cooking area, you arrange your own drinks, and the DJ plays without a curfew late into the night. Free parking on the grounds and early setup are included.
