About the venue
De Ruige Hoeve stands out among the farm venues around Zwolle for its heated barn: where most barns close for winter, this one stays usable year-round thanks to underfloor heating and a well-insulated roof. The wooden beams and original stable fittings are preserved, but the cold is gone.
The barn seats 140 to 320 guests and has its own warm-up kitchen alongside room for an outside caterer. Owner Marieke Ten Have usually replies within two days and will arrange a rain-proof marquee on the adjoining grounds for an outdoor ceremony on request. Live music and a DJ are allowed into the late hours, and there is free parking on site.
