About the venue
De Oude Korenmolen is a still-working grain mill just outside Zwolle, where the ground floor of the tower has been fitted out as an intimate ceremony room rather than converted into a standard party hall. The miller still turns the sails on wind power when the weather allows, and guests marry literally under the milling gear, with wooden beams and flour dust as the backdrop instead of rented decor.
The room seats around 85 guests, small enough to keep every detail personal. Miller Wouter Bakker, who usually replies within a day, gives the wedding party the mill tour himself and keeps a kitchen garden by the entrance where the first toast is raised after the ceremony. Free parking in the yard and a terrace along the canal round out the rest of the afternoon.
