About the venue
De Kleine Karavaan is a restored houseboat permanently moored at the Werfkade, and the name refers to the journey many guests here are celebrating before settling ashore. The saloon is narrow and long, with windows on both sides looking onto the water, offering just enough room for a private nikah among close family.
Skipper and owner Ahmad Zia Wardak will take the boat out for a short turn on the Zwarte Water for photos on request, and usually replies within two days. There is room for 15 to 40 guests, the kitchen works with a caterer of the couple's choosing, and the rear deck serves as outdoor space for the reception in good weather.
