About the venue
De Kleine Havenzaal occupies the ground floor of a nineteenth-century warehouse on the Wolwevershaven, with the original brickwork and cast-iron columns left in place when the space was converted into a wedding venue. The tall windows look straight out onto the water, and the hall is kept small enough to host a private nikah among close family without feeling empty.
Manager Idris Sarwari knows most of the city's regular caterers and can arrange a deg oven on the quay next door on request; he usually replies within two days. The hall seats 25 to 48 guests, there is a small prayer corner with wudu facilities, and the quay outside can be used for sunset photos.
