About the venue
De Eilandhoeve sits on a small island in a polder near Leiden and can only be reached over a narrow footbridge, which keeps the party small by nature. No road reaches the door and there is no room for a large marquee; the farm is deliberately sized to what fits the island itself, with an orchard for the ceremony and a small barn for rainy days.
Owner Marieke van Dijk, who usually replies within two days, rents the island exclusively per booking, for 35 to 60 guests. Couples bring their own caterer to cook outdoors on the grounds, and early setup with no sound limit allows for a long, unhurried day.
