About the venue
Darband Eventzaal is an Afghan banquet hall in Almere, named after the Darband gorge near Kabul, and the wall behind the takht stage carries a painted mountain landscape that evokes that gorge. The hall holds 230 to 300 guests, split across separable spaces for the engagement and the wedding.
Hall manager Najibullah Sahar, who usually replies within four days, arranges the private nikah and the attan dance later in the evening with an in-house DJ and sound system. The kitchen is set up for deg cooking, there is a prayer room with wudu facilities, and free parking is included for every wedding.
