About the venue
Dar Es Salam Zaal carries its name, house of peace, deliberately: the hall in Breda is built around calm and hospitality rather than spectacle, with a separate neggafa room where the bride changes kaftan several times through the evening under the guidance of an experienced neggafa. The main hall stays calm while the changes happen out of sight.
The hall seats up to 260 guests, with its own kitchen and a separate room for the henna night next to the main hall. Venue manager Fatima Zahra Bennani speaks Arabic and French and usually replies within two days; the house serves no alcohol and works exclusively with its own in-house DJ for sound.
