About the venue
Dar Al Afrah is built as two mirror-image halls under one roof: each wing has its own entrance, its own kitchen, and its own prayer room with wudu facilities, so two families can celebrate the same night fully separated from each other without either seeing the other. One wing is booked more often for Moroccan weddings with a neggafa and zaffa procession, the other for Turkish weddings with halay and the gelin yolu, but either is available for any celebration.
Together the two wings seat 400 guests. Event manager Yasmine El Idrissi, who speaks Arabic and Turkish and usually replies within two days, schedules both calendars so arrival times never overlap. The whole building is alcohol-free, with a Turkish coffee station and a qahwa corner in each wing.
