About the venue
Chandni Mahal, "palace of moonlight", is built around one architectural idea: a glass dome directly over the mandap stage, so the couple sits under the stars during the evening ceremony instead of under ceiling tiles. By day the same glass filters soft daylight across the hall; by evening the dome is lit from within once the moonlight fades.
The hall seats 240 to 400 guests and is equipped for the full Hindostani ceremony: a tassa performance at the entrance, a henna evening in the adjoining room, and a tandoor for the catering. Hall manager Priya Ramdin speaks Hindoestaans and usually replies within two days; free parking and a sound system with no curfew come with the standard booking.
