About the venue
Burcht Zilverschans is one of the few places in the Netherlands where the drawbridge is still actually lowered for guests: on arrival, the sound of chains is part of the party, not just a tour highlight. Restored in the 1990s after years standing empty, the fortress pairs thick castle walls with a modern light and sound rig.
The great hall suits 60 to 220 guests, with an outdoor courtyard inside the ramparts for the ceremony. Events manager Anneke Dijkstra usually replies the same day and can arrange a torchlit procession across the bridge at nightfall on request. There is no sound limit after ten, an in-house bar, and a separate smoking area on the courtyard.
