About the venue
Buraq Eventzaal is a newly built event venue in Almere, designed with a permanent prayer room and wudu facilities as a fixed part of the floor plan rather than a converted side room. The hall serves both Moroccan weddings with a neggafa throne and zaffa procession and Turkish weddings with halay and the gelin yolu, and the whole building is alcohol-free as a fixed policy.
The hall and the adjoining function room together seat 320 guests, split across two rooms separated by a sliding wall. Event coordinator Sara Öztürk, who speaks Arabic and Turkish and usually replies within two days, builds a fixed prayer block into every evening's schedule. A Turkish coffee station and in-house catering with its own kitchen are standard.
